The Gathering - Salem Campus

The gathering image

The Gathering is a time to meet together for dinner and Bible studies led by our pastors, elders and leaders. With student and Kids Life classes, the entire family can come and experience The Gathering. We kick-off The Gathering with a Chick-fil-A box meal on January 24th. You can purchase your meal when you register.

We will conclude The Gathering with a campus wide event featuring author, Dr. Tedd Tripp, at the Salem Campus on February 28th.

You must register for adult, student and children's classes by Wednesday, January 17th.

KIDS LIFE:

Agents in Motion (K – 5th grade): As agents-in-training, children will experience large group worship, Bible teaching, and life group activities to learn how to cause positive change in their family, friends and the world!

BIG (Birth – PreK): Preschoolers will be learning that regardless of how big they are, they can do big things with God’s help. We will be learning about loving big, listening big, helping big, thanking big and sharing big.

STUDENTS:

Middle School students are invited to join the “To the One Who Conquers” study at the Salem campus. High School students are encouraged to choose one of the main classes.

To the One Who Conquers (Middle School): Explore the challenges, failures, and victories of the early churches from the Book of Revelation. Discover the cultural implications for that time and how this prophetic vision still applies today.

ADULT CLASSES:

The Meaning of Marriage: Our modern day assumptions about marriage miss the mark. Gain a new vision for marriage that is refreshingly frank and unsentimental, yet hopeful and beautiful.

The Imperfect Disciple: We are imperfect humans who make mistakes and grow weary. However, the gospel still works through us and in us, even when we can’t get our act together.

How to Talk About Our Faith: Learn how to effectively communicate the truth about Christianity with confidence and grace. Discover how to maneuver through potential mine fields and get people thinking about Jesus.

What We Can Know About the End Times: Explore the scriptures in depth to discover what we can know about the rapture and understand the assurance of our salvation. Learn about the key players of the end times.

The Monday Morning Switch: Do you switch off God on Monday mornings? It’s easy to believe in God but work like he doesn’t exist. Our work has more purpose than a paycheck. Find peace, purpose and power in your work.

Special Needs Parenting - From Coping to Thriving: Gain emotional and spiritual resources for the journey. Find a deeper understanding of God’s presence and process feelings. Discover strategies for patience, self-care and healthy relationships and find hope and healing.

Shepherding a Child’s Heart: The things your child says and does flows from the heart. Learn how to speak to the heart of your child. Gain insight and perspectives for shepherding your child’s heart in the paths of life.

Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands: God has a huge toolbox...his principal tools are his children. God effects change in our lives through the call for us to be agents of change by serving others.

Hebrews - The Superiority of Christ: Hebrews was written to Christians during a time of trial and focuses on the superiority of the person, priesthood and the faith of Christ. Discover Christ’s sufficiency and supremacy.

Developing the Leaders Around You (Every other Wednesday, 1:15—2:15 PM): It’s not enough for a leader to have vision, energy, drive, and conviction. If you want to see your dream come to fruition, you must learn how to develop the leaders around you.
